Gonzalez - Leeds are united

Leeds` on-loan goalkeeper David Gonzalez has saluted the positive team spirit at Elland Road. Gonzalez, 28, arrived from Manchester City on January deadline day in a deal which will see him remain at the Championship club until the end of the season. The Colombian may well be third choice in the pecking order behind Kasper Schmeichel and Shane Higgs, but he has already seen enough to know Leeds are a tight-knit group as they go into the final third of the season challenging for promotion to the Premier League. "The atmosphere and team spirit is just great," Gonzalez told the Yorkshire Evening Post. "All the lads have taken to me being here as if I`ve been here for months already and I`ve only been here for a few weeks. It feels like we`re all aiming for the same thing." He added: "I knew Leeds were following me in City`s reserves and I`m happy to be here and hope to be involved in the squad as soon as possible. "Kasper has been outstanding all season long and I`ll just try and add a little bit to the squad and do my best. I didn`t think about (joining) for a second. Leeds are a massive club with a lot of history."
