Goal meant nothing - Somma

16 September 2010 16:30
Leeds striker Davide Somma revealed another goal for the club at Barnsley in midweek was little consolation due to the heavy defeat. Somma, who spent part of the last campaign on loan at Lincoln, has scored four goals in as many appearances for Leeds this season to press his claims for his first league start in a United shirt. He said: "You're always happy to score but you want to score to help the team. That didn't really help the team - maybe next time. "Whenever I'm called upon I'm ready. I just want to help the team and help Leeds. "It was a tough defeat but we have another game coming up. The Barnsley game is in the past now and we have to move on. These things can happen in football."
