Amdy Faye made his first appearance in a Leeds shirt on Tuesday night as Neil Thompson's side drew 1-1 at Grimsby. Former Portsmouth and Stoke man Faye is currently training with the Leeds squad and was deployed in a defensive midfield role at Blundell Park. Regarding the Senegal international's display, Thompson told the club's official website: "He's not played for a long time, coming into 90 minutes is tough, but his work-rate was fine." Ross McCormack scored his first goal in Leeds colours to equalise for the visitors, who boasted a strong line-up featuring Adam Clayton and Davide Somma.
