Bates Thanks Loyal Fans With Live Beam Back

29 April 2010 21:11
Ken Bates is relishing Saturday's clash at promotion rivals Charlton as United look to maintain their push for automatic promotion. With just two games remaining in the regular season, the Whites are a point clear of third-placed Millwall and edging closer to a return to the Coca-Cola Championship. The club will stage a live beam back of the game exclusively to club members in recognition of their continued support and it will be the first time in several years that there will be a live screening inside Elland Road. Bates told Yorkshire Radio: "It's a game of great importance and interest. Charlton have given us a good allocation, but we probably could have sold it 10 times over. The club's success in being able to secure the beam back is a credit to everyone involved and by opening it in this way to our members, it's a way of saying `thank you' to them."
