Reports suggest the Clarets are close to confirming former Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws as Owen Coyle's replacement, but Bates has queried the logic of Grayson's name being mentioned in the same breath as the Turf Moor club.[LNB]"Why would he want to leave Leeds for Burnley?" Bates said on Yorkshire Radio. "We have a bigger population, bigger gates and we're a club on the up.[LNB]"Simon has already stated the same things and asked why would he want to leave.[LNB]"He wants to manage in the Premier League with Leeds United and hopefully he will do that sooner rather than later."[LNB][LNB]
