Assistant dismisses Martin claim

Martin, who had a three-month spell with Stanley before returning to Elland Road, criticised the club for not having a goalkeeping coach, saying: "I wasn't getting any goalkeeping coaching at Stanley. Before a match the team would be named, and the keeper not playing would always play outfield in training routines and I was left-back."[LNB]However, Bell insists the lack of a goalkeeping coach was down to the dire financial situation at the club and believes that Martin is just bitter about being dropped from the side.[LNB]"Not having a coach meant that excuse was open to him, but people are quick to make excuses rather than point the finger at themselves," he told the Lancashire Telegraph.[LNB]"I think he probably felt he should be first choice but he made a couple of mistakes and so did Ian Dunbavin, so that was why they were both in and out of the team."[LNB][LNB]
