2010-11 npower Championship Preview: Norwich City

Rob Emery, Observer readerAfter years of gradual decline, culminating in relegation to our lowest status in 50 years, the club finally seems focused and driven. The feelgood factor of winning League One last season will carry both players and crowd for a while, and I'm confident we'll be much better than our last few seasons at this level. With an evolving side and a manager who - inspirational though he is - has limited experience, we should simply settle for survival this time, but I believe we'll overachieve. The play-offs are probably a step too far at this stage, but we'll manage mid-table obscurity.Last season Promoted Prediction 9thThe new boys We've acquired both quantity and quality. The capture of Andrew Surman in particular has caused both surprise and excitement with pretty much everyone - it certainly sent a real notice of intent for those who doubted the club's commitment to strengthen.Men to watch Wes Hoolahan. I sense we didn't see the best him in a struggling side a couple of years ago. In a progressive, attacking side he could provide enough ammunition to win games on his own.Best youngsters We have more and more of our "own" coming through the academy, and Korey Smith will, I'm sure, continue to grow in stature.Target for the boo-boys The squad has changed so much over the summer it's difficult to know. But they'll find a target sooner rather than later.Hate figure Marcus Evans at Ipswich (sorry, "Roy Keane's Ipswich" - for as long as that lasts), and Colchester chairman Robbie Cowling.
