Zarate agent denies problem

Mauro Zarate's agent has dismissed suggestions that FIFA have grounds to investigate the nature of the Argentinian striker's transfer to Lazio.

Zarate's joined the Serie A club from Al-Sadd on a permanent basis last summer following a successful loan spell.

However, the Qatari club have revealed that they are considering filing a complaint to FIFA over the way the transfer - in which Lazio met a reported £15million buyout clause - was conducted.

"Lazio bought him and that is it," said agent Sergio Zarate.

"They (Al-Sadd) can say whatever they want but I see no problem of any nature.

"Lazio did what it said on the contract. There was a buy-out clause and they paid it.

"I cannot understand this behaviour, we should ask Al-Sadd the reasons behind it."
