Tare backs training camp

Lazio's sporting director Igli Tare has backed coach Davide Ballardini's decision to take his players away fro a mid-season training camp.

The Biancocelesti have struggled in Serie A this season and the squad were attacked by disgruntled fans during one recent training session.

Tare told La Repubblica: "We are going to work in tranquillity and we decided to leave early given our situation.

"We are worried, this is normal in these situations, but we have to be focussed and work with our heads kept down and this will take us on the right track.

"The players are disappointed because the will to do well is there, but we have not had the luck. However, this team has all the tools to get back up."
