Lazio will have to do without influential midfielder Cristian Brocchi for the final six games of the season after the player was ruled out for three months on Thursday.
Following tests in Germany he has been advised to rest completely for three months, the club said on their website.
The 36-year has a problem with his foot.
Lazio are three points clear of their rivals in the race for third place and Champions League football next season.
