Lazio ultras explain protest

Lazio's Irriducibili Ultras have explained the reasons behind their heated protest at the club's training ground on Tuesday.

Around 200 Ultras protested angrily at the club's Formello training facility and explosives were also thrown inside the complex.

Speaking to goal.com, spokesman for the ultras Gianluca Tirone said: "The protest was born from the results, which have not been positive, and also from the attitude certain players have shown on the pitch.

"We thought it was necessary to clear things up because we noted that the players were cold towards us.

"Manager Davide Ballardini stopped the training session and he had a confrontation with the team.

"Tommaso Rocchi also apologised and so we are satisfied."
