Italy Forward Ciro Immobile Signs For Lazio

Ciro Immobile has returned to Italy to sign for Lazio after struggling to make an impression abroad.

The 26-year-old striker was Serie A's top scorer in 2013-14 thanks to a haul of 22 goals from 33 appearances for Torino, and his performances secured a big-money move to Borussia Dortmund.

But after notching only three times in the Bundesliga, he was allowed to join Spanish club Sevilla, for whom he scored only twice before returning to Torino on loan in January.

Lazio have now decided to recruit the Naples-born forward on a reported five-year contract, announcing the transfer's completion on their official website on Wednesday afternoon.

Immobile was part of the Italy squad which reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2016 in the summer.
