Lazio winger Pasquale Foggia has suffered a knee injury and is expected to be ruled out for around 40 days.
He underwent the surgeon's knife to cure a problem to his meniscus and is likely to miss the club's Serie A clashes against Atalanta, Juventus and Chievo while he recovers.
A statement on the club's official website said: "Pasquale Foggia, accompanied by club doctor Bianchini, underwent meniscus surgery at the Paideia Clinic.
"He had arthroscopy to mend a damaged meniscus in his right knee.
"The operation, which was carried out by Doctors Lovati and Salvatori was a perfect success. The player should be playing again in around 35-40 days' time."
