Lazio have signed veteran Reggina striker Nicola Amoruso, who has opted to leave his former club after three seasons at the Stadio Granillo.
The 33-year-old former Juventus and Napoli frontman had already spoken of his concerns at Reggina constantly struggling to stave off the threat of relegation and Amoruso has now moved on.
Reggina president Lillo Foti commented: "We have reached a financial agreement with Lazio and we are both satisfied with the deal.
"Lazio have made a big swoop by signing Amoruso and they have given me the difficult task of replacing him.
"I had to let him go because he wanted to move to a big club like Lazio so that he can end his career there."
Amoruso had earlier warned: "I have been at Reggina for three years and nothing ever changes. We stay in Serie A, but suffer to get there.
"I have a contract until 2010 and we'll see what will be done."
