Stalemate pleases Advocaat
02 Jun 2006 - 08:44:46
South Korea coach Dick Advocaat was pleased with his side's display in Thursday's goalless draw with Norway.
The friendly international was a cagey affair with chances at a premium but Advocaat was not too downhearted.
"I know from my time in the Netherlands that this is a difficult place to play," he said. "I'm happy with the result.
"This was not our strongest team. Five, six or seven of our best players were not playing, but I realise that we must improve football-wise."
Goalkeeper Lee Woon-Jae hurt his head in a clash with Norway's Morten Gamst Pedersen but was not badly injury while Park Ji-Sung's ankle sprain forced him to stay on the bench.
Advocaat's side play Ghana on Sunday before opening their Group G campaign against Togo on 13 June.
