Quartet cut from Korea squad
South Korea coach Huh Jung-moo has cut four players from his 30-man preliminary World Cup squad following the 2-0 friendly win over Ecuador.
Defenders Hwang Jae-won of Pohang Steelers and Suwon Bluewings' Kang Min-soo will not make the trip to South Africa, while Suwon midfielder Cho Won-hee and Kim Chi-woo of FC Seoul are also left out.
There are a few injury concerns for the coach. Midfielder Kim Jae-sung limped off against the South Americans but should be fully recovered next week but a thigh injury could keep striker Lee Dong-gook out of action for two to three weeks.
South Korea, who face Argentina, Greece and Nigeria in South Africa, take on Japan on May 24 before heading to an Austrian training camp and games against Belarus on May 30 and Spain four days later.
The final 23 is due to be named before June 1.
