Point pleases Advocaat
18 Jun 2006 - 23:04:17
South Korea coach Dick Advocaat was pleased to come away from Sunday's Group G clash against France with a point after being outplayed for most of the match.
Park Ji-sung's late equaliser in Leipzig rescued a point for the 2002 semi-finalists in a match that France seemed certain to win.
"It was difficult for us, but in the second half we improved as the game went on," said Advocaat.
"From one of the few chances we had we scored."
Goalscorer Park added: "I'm not satisfied with myself but I'm satisfied with my team because we got a point against a very strong French team."
Meanwhile, France coach Raymond Domenech said: "I'm disappointed, but we still have a match against Togo and we have to win.
"Korea wore us out. They're a solid team and after going 1-0 up we were not quite good enough.
"They pushed and we were not able to retain the ball. But now we want to beat Togo well in order to qualify and that remains our objective."
