Podolski committed to Koln

Koln's Germany international forward Lukas Podolski has vowed to stay with his current club this summer, despite links with a possible big-money move abroad.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a fine World Cup with Germany, scoring twice as Joachim Low's side reached the semi-finals, sparking talk of interest from the likes of Juventus and Manchester City.

However, Podolski told the Express newspaper: "Of course there are enquiries from other clubs, but I'm not interested.

"I want to take a big step with my club in the coming season. Perhaps we will even surprise people and qualify for the Europa League."
