Lanig completes Koln switch

Stuttgart midfielder Martin Lanig has joined fellow Bundesliga side FC Koln.

Lanig, 25, has put pen to paper on a three-year contract at the Rhein-Energie-Stadion.

The midfielder is hoping to kick-start his career at Koln after missing seven months of the last season with a serious knee ligament injury.

"We're very happy that Martin Lanig has decided to join us. Martin will certainly strengthen our team," said chief executive Martin Meier.

"He's fantastic in the air and has a great strike. He is a fantastic offensive player and reads the game very well."
