Koln: We could not keep Daum

Koln have admitted there was little that they could do to stop coach Christoph Daum leaving to take charge at Turkish club Fenerbahce.
The 55-year-old has agreed a two-year contract with Fener, having had another 12 months of his deal with Koln still to run.
General manager Michael Meier admitted: "I told him that we would do all we could to keep him, but we had no chance.
"He told me he had already signed a new contract. He said that it was a sensational offer financially and he could not forgive himself, nor would his family forgive him, if he said no.
"Christoph received a four-year contract which was so lucrative that it made him weak at the knees. Furthermore, he can get to work at a top European club."
Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach have confirmed the appointment of Michael Frontzeck as their new head coach on a two-year contract.
The 45-year-old, who enjoyed three spells with the club as a player, succeeds Hans Meyer at Borussia Park.
Frontzeck was recently axed by Arminia Bielefeld following their relegation from the top-flight of German football, having started his coaching career at Alemannia Aachen.
