Win saves Duberry from rant

St Johnstone boss Derek McInnes admitted that only the 2-1 victory over Hamilton prevented him asking Michael Duberry for an explanation for his handling Dougie Imrie's corner which gave the home side a lifeline. The Saints were leading through Sam Parkin's early goal, but Duberry handled and Simon Mensing converted the resulting penalty to make it all-square. But Danny Grainger's late goal handed Duberry a reprieve. And McInnes was not concerned about a possible red card for the former Chelsea defender. He said: "No, he didn't give me an explanation - but he would have done if we hadn't won the game. I have still to speak to him about it but he looked sheepishly at me when he was in the shower. "I think he felt there was contact on him but he is so often a magnet to those types of deliveries and he was magnificent again, using all his experience and strength. "A sending-off never came in to my head. A penalty was punishment enough."
