Time will tell in Parker move
The 26-year-old, who is contracted at the Galpharm until 2010, has been told he is surplus to requirements by Terriers boss Lee Clark.
Parker has trained with the Scottish Premier League outfit over the last few days with a view to securing a permanent transfer to the the Ayrshire club.
And Jefferies told BBC Scotland: "I don't know whether they'll let him go or what the personal terms would be and whether I can afford to bring him in.
"But at least we get to meet the lad and he can get in among the
players and get a wee feel for the club.
"But it's far far too early to say whether we would be interested or could do something."
