Taouil to stay with Killie

Kilmarnock midfielder Mehdi Taouil is set to pledge his future to the club by signing a two-year contract.

The Morocco international joined the club on a short-term deal midway through the last campaign and impressed manager Jim Jefferies.

The 25-year-old had been linked with a move to Hearts, but is now set to put pen to paper at Rugby Park.

"He had a few other offers to consider but he likes it here and is keen to work with us," revealed Jefferies.

"By agreeing a two-year deal he has the chance to play regular football which is what he needs."
