Taouil content with Killie

Moroccan midfielder Mehdi Taouil is pleased that he decided to stay with Kilmarnock this summer and sign a new three-year contract at Rugby Park.

The 25-year-old impressed in his first season in the SPL and has helped Killie make a fine start to the new campaign.

Taouil said: "There were other clubs interested, but my priority was to stay at Kilmarnock because when I first came here, I felt good and everybody was really nice here.

"I really wanted to stay here and keep working with those kinds of people.

"Even though the results were not good last season, we were working hard. But the problem was we were really struggling with injuries.

"Now, this season, everybody's fit, we are working well with the staff and with the gaffer. You can see on the pitch we are really confident."
