Striker boost for Killie

Striker Paul Di Giacomo has returned from his loan spell at Partick Thistle vowing to fire Kilmarnock to SPL safety.

Di Giacomo, 25, had been on loan at Partick but returned after an unsuccessful spell with a stunning goal on his return last weekend in the 1-1 draw with Hearts.

The striker, who has been at the club since he was a teenager, spoke of his delight at scoring on his return.

He told the Kilmarnock Standard: "It's great to be back. I've got so many good memories of Killie and a lot of good friends at the club.

"It's not been going too well in the league for Killie so I'll be working my socks off to try and help improve that."

He is contracted until the end of the season at Rugby Park.
