Stokes unlikely to join Hibernian

Hibernian look likely to be thwarted in their attempt to sign striker Anthony Stokes after being told Sunderland are not willing to let him leave on loan. The English club are only interested in a permanent transfer for the 20-year-old, but Hibs could not come near to matching his Stadium of Light wages.
