Kilmarnock winger David Silva hopes some good performances in the SPL will eventually win him a move to the English Premier League.[LNB] Silva has started well for Killie and netted his first goal for the club in their midweek victory over Hibernian in the Co-operative Insurance Cup.[LNB]The former CSKA Sofia player has tasted the highest level before, playing as a youngster at Porto, and that has left him hungry for more.[LNB]The 24-year-old said: "The Scottish championship is very strong and they have good teams that play in Europe, so I think it's a good standard.[LNB]"The level here is good, but you are close to England and it can help you get a move there.[LNB]"Every player is looking upon this as a stepping stone, but first we have to think about the team we are in and try to help them get the best results we can."[LNB]Those results have come quickly for Mixu Paatelainen's new-look side, who have played with a renewed confidence and style to win four out of their first seven matches.[LNB]Silva himself has made a speedy recovery from a hamstring injury and is confident that the team can continue their form.[LNB]"We have to keep going and playing well and trying to get results," he said.[LNB]"I think the team is playing a good passing game and I feel we can beat any team at the moment.[LNB]"I was really happy because the team won and I scored my first goal for them.[LNB]"I hope I can score a lot more and help the team win. But if the team is winning and I'm not scoring I'll still be happy."[LNB]Kilmarnock travel to Hamilton on Saturday where there will be more than just Silva offering some Portuguese flair, as Hamilton's Paixao twins and new Kilmarnock signing, Rui Miguel, could also be involved.[LNB]"I know them well," said Silva of Flavio and Marco Paixao.[LNB]"We played in Portugal together four or five years ago in the Porto B team and we've got together some days here in Glasgow too, so I've known them well for a long time.[LNB]"They spoke to me when they first moved to Scotland and said the Scottish championship was good. Then, when they had been here for a year, they told me they were enjoying it.[LNB]"We'll only have a little personal battle this week on the pitch - outside the pitch we are good friends."[LNB]Silva is also pleased to be reunited with striker Miguel, who was signed from CSKA Sofia earlier this month.[LNB]"Our relationship was very good," Silva said. "We played together maybe for four years for different clubs so I know him very well too.[LNB]"When things were not so good for him in Bulgaria I advised him to come here and he did. The locker room is very good here, I think we can have a good partnership again."
