Mickael Antoine-Curier and Simon Mensing netted within five first-half minutes at Rugby Park and Accies missed several chances to put the game out of sight.[LNB]But they held on without serious danger, after Chris Maguire pulled one back out of the blue in the 77th minute, to move eight points away from the bottom of the SPL.[LNB]Reid said: "I'm thrilled with the performance, not just the score.[LNB]"Right from the kick-off we were on top. We passed it really well and cut them open time after time, we should maybe have been three or four up by half-time.[LNB]"Two-nil can be a nervy scoreline and they scored. We should have buried them but we didn't.[LNB]"Overall, it was a fantastic performance from a group of players I believe in. I've said this is the best group I've worked with.[LNB]"Some of the performances have been excellent without taking the points but tonight we took the points."[LNB]While Hamilton are now unbeaten in five games, Killie have lost the same amount of matches in succession and manager Jimmy Calderwood felt this defeat was their worst yet.[LNB]"I would say it is the most disappointing, maybe not 90 minutes, probably 65 minutes," Calderwood said.[LNB]"We didn't start until it was too late.[LNB]"I couldn't see it coming because, although we lost four on the bounce, there were a lot of positives in those games. There weren't a lot of positives tonight.[LNB]"We never looked as confident on the ball as they did. We huffed and puffed in the end but they had something to cling on to and they did it well."[LNB]Killie's night got even worse when they trooped off to discover that St Mirren had bounced back from their Co-operative Insurance Cup final defeat to thrash Celtic 4-0 and move above the Ayrshire side into 10th place.[LNB]"All credit to wee Gus's team, it's a wonderful result after the disappointment of Sunday, but it's a double whammy for us," Calderwood said.[LNB][LNB]
