Kilmarnock have confirmed that striker Colin Nish has turned down their initial offer of a new contract.
The 26-year-old will be a free agent next summer and is set to wait to see what offers come his way after shunning fresh terms with Killie.
Manager Jim Jefferies said: "We made an increased offer to Colin but he wants to wait until the end of the season and see what his options are.
"We will just need to see what happens."
Meanwhile, Killie frontman Gary Wales faces another month out of action with a foot injury.
Jefferies told The Daily Record. "He wasn't feeling too bad after the Aberdeen game, but when the bruising cleared up he was still getting a bit of pain whenever the physio touched it.
"So we sent him for another scan and it showed up a crack in his foot. It just seems to be the way things are going for us this season."
