Kilmarnock striker Steven Naismith has handed in a written transfer request after seeing a move to Rangers all but collapse.
The 20-year-old Scotland international is also thought to be interesting Celtic and has tried to force the issue by asking for a move away from Rugby Park.
Killie chairman Michael Johnston told the Daily Record: "As far as I'm concerned, this changes nothing. It just makes his desire to leave public.
"We've told Steven we'll not stand in his way, but we must receive the valuation we feel we deserve.
"Steven's agent has indicated Rangers are willing to come back in with another bid, but we have an ongoing dialogue with another major club."
Naismith has scored 34 goals in 110 games for Killie and made his senior Scotland debut in June against the Faroe Islands.
