Naismith a wanted man

Kilmarnock's young strike star Steven Naismith is a target for several Premiership clubs according to Rugby Park boss Jim Jefferies.

Naismith trained with Arsenal earlier this season, with Jefferies also having been approached by a couple of other English clubs as a result.

He said: "There were two other clubs who phoned me after the first day we were down there wanting me to go straight to their training ground, but that would have been the wrong thing to do.

"One of the clubs was in the London area and they were wanting Steven to have a look, but I wouldn't have done that because Arsenal treated us great.

"Since then those other clubs haven't been in touch, but maybe it's because the transfer window is closed.

"Who knows, they might come in later, or so might another club."
