Midfielder Ford drives into Spiretes

Chesterfield boss John Sheridan has signed former Kilmarnock defender Simon Ford on a two-year contract.[LNB] The 28-year-old will officially join the League 2 club on July 1.[LNB]Ford began his career at Charlton before joining Grimsby in 2001. The former Jamaica international spent three years at Blundell Park before moving to Kilmarnock, where he made 163 appearances for the SPL club.[LNB]"Although I had some options I am delighted to be joining Chesterfield and am really looking forward to kicking off the season at what is a fabulous new stadium," Ford told Chesterfield's official website.
