Chris Maguire admits he would relish the opportunity to join forces with Kevin Kyle again if Aberdeen can secure his signature this summer.[LNB] Both players combined well while Maguire was on loan at Kilmarnock in the second half of the season, helping the Rugby Park side retain their SPL status in their final game of the campaign.[LNB]Kyle has already discussed a possible move to Pittodrie with Dons boss Mark McGhee but has a number of other options to consider, having been linked with Hearts and Greek clubs Xanthi and Kavala, among others.[LNB]Maguire is now back in the Granite City after his short spell at Killie ended and would love Kyle to join him.[LNB]He said: "The partnership me and Kev had at Kilmarnock worked well - a bit like when Lee Miller was here at Aberdeen.[LNB]"Kev is bigger than Lee and I don't think anyone can beat him in the air to be honest.[LNB]"He won every header that came towards him and he's a hitman for teams.[LNB]"If Aberdeen did secure him, it would be a good signing. He's a big target man in the box and hard for defenders to defend against."[LNB]Maguire's loan spell got off to an explosive start when he netted the winner against Celtic on his debut - which was also Robbie Keane's maiden outing for the Hoops.[LNB]He believes he has returned to Aberdeen a better player after being given a run in the Kilmarnock team by boss Jimmy Calderwood.[LNB]He said: "I loved it. I was playing every week, which I didn't get the chance to do here. Jimmy spoke to me and said he would give me a chance and I was delighted to go down the road. I think I played in every game.[LNB]"They are a great bunch of boys and I was grateful they gave me the chance to play.[LNB]"Every week that you play, you get more confident in yourself.[LNB]"I was playing every week and I was scoring regularly and that's all you really want."[LNB]Speaking on RedTV, he added: "The main thing now is just to get in the first team regularly, rather than sitting on the bench every week watching other boys play on the park.[LNB]"I just want to nail my place down in the team and see what happens from there.[LNB]"Hopefully the manager saw that I did well at Kilmarnock and gives me a chance at the start of the season."[LNB]
