Kyle waiting for Killie offer

Kilmarnock's in-form striker Kevin Kyle is still waiting to find out whether he will be offered a new contract to stay at Rugby Park next season.

The 28-year-old Scotland international has scored nine times for Killie so far this term, but was recently linked with a move to join Hearts in the summer.

Kyle told BBC Scotland: "I thought Kilmarnock would have come in and done that. They talked about it, but nothing's actually quite happened.

"As soon as the last game of the season finishes, that's my contract finished with. I'm not going to get wages in May and June, so it's quite unsettling to think like that.

"Nobody really goes and buys somebody straight after the season finishes, it's usually June and July when the transfer market gets busy again, so it's an unsettling thing.

"But I've got to keep trying to put in good performances and hopefully something will happen with Kilmarnock maybe offering me a good deal to stay on or somebody else might take me.

"I'll not be short, but until something is actually signed and done it is a bit unsettling."
