Kyle eyes England return

Striker Kevin Kyle is hoping to impress after earning a return to the Scotland squad for the first time in more than five years.

The 28-year-old Kilmarnock frontman has been named in the squad for the friendly international with Wales this weekend, having impressed for his club side this season.

However, former Coventry City and Sunderland man Kyle is keen to earn another chance to impress in England.

He said: "If I do well then who knows what can happen. I've got a short-term at Kilmarnock and if I do well then obviously people will be watching.

"I could end up putting myself in the shop window to go somewhere else. Obviously I'm a player who wants to play at the highest level that I can."
