Killie seek Murray answers

Kilmarnock defender Grant Murray has undergone surgery to try and get to the bottom of his nagging knee problems.

The 32-year-old has been sidelined for the last month and Killie are eager to get a better diagnosis of the injury.

Boss Jim Jefferies said: "Grant is still getting some pain in his knee and we can't detect what it is, so the medical team decided to have a look to see if there is any more damage to the cartilage.

"We thought his knee injury would clear up, but he is still being troubled by it.

"We will have a better idea after this exploratory operation, but we're keeping our fingers crossed it's nothing too serious."
