Killie miss out on winger

Kilmarnock boss Jim Jefferies has admitted defeat in his attempts to sign former Newcastle United winger Martin Brittain.
The 21-year-old is on the look out for a new club after being released by Newcastle at the end of last season and impressed during a trial spell at Rugby Park.
Jefferies was keen to add Brittain to his squad, but the youngster has decided to try his luck elsewhere.
"He had a few weeks with us, but we have a few similar players in his position," Jefferies told BBC Sport.
"We could not guarantee him a first-team place, so he is looking elsewhere for that."
Meanwhile, Killie have opened contract talks with midfielder Keith Lasley, who is without a club after being released by Plymouth Argyle.
