Killie hopeful over Naismith

Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies is hopeful of keeping Steven Naismith at Rugby Park beyond the transfer window which closes on Friday.
The long-time target of SPL giants Rangers scored in the 3-0 CIS Insurance Cup second round victory over Peterhead on Tuesday and Jefferies is confident the Scotland international will still be at the club when he names his squad for Saturday's visit of Aberdeen.
"I don't think it will be Steven's last goal for us and if anyone was going to come in then I reckon they would have done it by now," he said.
"If there is a last-minute bid then there is not much we can do about that.
"But we'll just keep our fingers crossed in the couple of days that are left to go and then hopefully he'll be in our team on Saturday.
"That will mean we can all settle down until it rears its head in January, but at least we'll have him until that time."
