Killie duo open contract talks
15 Oct 2008 - 11:52:24
Kilmarnock have opened talks with forward Danny Invincibile and midfielder James Fowler, who are both out of contract next summer.
Killie boss Jim Jefferies is keen to keep both men at Rugby Park and is confident that agreements can be reached.
He told the Daily Record: "Danny and James are happy to stay, so it's just a case of the chairman sitting down with them and trying to sort something out.
"They have both been great for us. Danny sometimes doesn't get the praise he deserves but he works a great shift for the team.
"James is Mr Consistent. I moved him into the centre of midfield and he was great there, but I've also been able to use him at full-back or wide right.
"He also works extremely hard and does a great job for the team.
"He may not catch a lot of people's eyes, but James is solid and he brings a great balance to the team."
