Kilmarnock have completed the signing of former Scotland striker Kevin Kyle on an 18-month contract.
The 27-year-old was recently released by Coventry City and had been a target for both Hartlepool United and Swindon Town, but Kyle has opted to head home to Scotland.
Killie boss Jim Jefferies told The Scotsman: "Kevin's had quite a few offers, but he's excited about the challenge of coming to Kilmarnock and I'm sure he'll be terrific for us.
"He is only 27 years old and has played at a high level. He wants to get his career going again as it's not happened for him at Coventry.
"I've always said I was looking to bring someone in and young players like Conor Sammon and Donovan Simmonds will learn from playing with him.
"Kevin ticks all the boxes as he's played at a high level, he wants this challenge and he wants to prove himself."
