Kilmarnock chairman Michael Johnston has confirmed Angelo Massone has been in touch about a possible investment in the Ayrshire club.[LNB] But Johnston says the approach was made nine months ago and he is "cautious" of any involvement with the Italian businessman following his track record as chairman of Livingston.[LNB]He told BBC Scotland: "The nature of his interest, what it is he is planning to do and how he would achieve it is opaque.[LNB]"Given his involvement with Livingston, and being a solicitor, I'm cautious.[LNB]"His interest has been known to us for some time but there has never been any concrete proposal forthcoming."[LNB]Meanwhile, Johnston has confirmed Gus MacPherson would be an option for the manager's job next season if Jimmy Calderwood opts not to remain at Rugby Park.[LNB]He told the Scottish Daily Express: "I wouldn't rule anything out.[LNB]"If Jimmy decides to say no, there is a full range of options and Gus MacPherson would clearly be one of them."[LNB]
