Kiernan handed Killie chance

The 19-year-old defender will spend a few days training with the Ayrshire club and Calderwood says he has been impressed by the teenager so far.[LNB]Kiernan made his debut for the Hornets 12 months ago when he came off the bench in a FA Cup win against Crystal Palace at Vicarage Road.[LNB]Calderwood said: "I've got a young lad in at the moment, from Watford, who is a centre-half.[LNB]"He is going to be with us for a couple of days and we will have a look at him.[LNB]"He did really well today in training."[LNB]Calderwood - who has joined Kilmarnock until the end of the season - is desperately trying to steer the club away from the relegation zone.[LNB]And he is hoping to boost their chances of survival with the arrival of more new faces before Monday's transfer deadline.[LNB]He added: "Hopefully there will be a few more in the coming days.[LNB]"Goalkeeping-wise we are okay. For the rest of the positions, we would like to get one in every position.[LNB]"But that all depends on finances."[LNB][LNB]
