Jefferies voices Killie fears

Kilmarnock boss Jim Jefferies has admitted that his side face a tense few weeks as they seek to secure their immediate future in the SPL.

Killie are just three points clear of rock-bottom Falkirk following a 3-1 defeat at Hearts and Jefferies' side face the Bairns next weekend.

"We've been in a precarious position for the last three weeks, so have five other clubs," Jefferies said.

"We've got a massive game against Falkirk next week and we have to be prepared for that.

"After the league splits there will be quite a few massive games because all the bottom teams will be playing each other.

"But a couple of wins can change the whole thing, so we just have to keep going.

"We've been playing well lately, but just not been getting the results, but this time I thought we were poor and we deserved to lose."
