Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies was relieved to finally clinch a first win of 2008 as his side beat Aberdeen 3-1 at Rugby Park on Sunday.
With Gretna losing at Rangers, Killie are now 12 points clear of relegation and Jefferies is starting to look up the table rather than down.
He said: "If we keep playing like that then we shouldn't be looking at relegation. That's Gretna's problem, not Kilmarnock's problem. Our aim now is to try to catch the team above us.
"We've managed to get close to them with the win and instead of looking back we will look forward.
"Even if Aberdeen were jaded, we had to play well and in the end we were outstanding. We could have scored more goals and we didn't look like a side at the lower end of the table."
