Jefferies rues Killie lapse

Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies blamed a second-half collapse for Tuesday's 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Aberdeen.

Killie grabbed the initiative straight from kick-off and took a 10th minute lead through Allan Russell at Rugby Park.

But an Aberdeen fightback, led by a brace from Lee Miller, left Jefferies in critical mood.

"It's a game we didn't need to chase because we should have been at least a couple of goals up on the first-half performance," he said.

"It's a situation we have been in two or three times at home and have failed to grasp the opportunity.

"We need to make them aware they can't win games in 45 minutes."
