Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies is desperate to agree a new long-term contract with striker Kevin Kyle.
The 28-year-old Scotland international scored eight goals in 12 games after joining Killie in January and was a major factor in the club moving clear of relegation danger.
Jefferies told the Kilmarnock Standard: "Obviously I'm keen to extend Kevin's stay, that's one thing that's definitely on the agenda.
"We have a much stronger squad than we've had for sometime and with Kevin having a full pre-season of training under his belt and Allan Russell coming back, we should have more of a threat up front.
"I think there's no doubt that had we had Kevin earlier, we would have finished in the top six."
