Jefferies: Our season starts now

The Rugby Park side could go bottom of the SPL table if they are defeated at home by the Jambos and other results involving Hamilton and Falkirk go against them.[LNB]Jefferies has watched his side lose to Rangers, Dundee United and Celtic in their last three games, but after the visit of his former club Killie will travel to St Johnstone before home games against Hibernian and Falkirk.[LNB]It is in those forthcoming fixtures where the former Hearts and Bradford manager is looking for his club's fortunes to turn around.[LNB]"I will be saying to the players on Saturday, 'This is where it starts for us'," Jefferies said. "We have three out of our next four games at home and it's a little mini fixture list that could get us right back in the hunt and we have got to take advantage of it.[LNB]"At the weekend, Hearts could finish bottom, so could Hamilton, and Falkirk could stay there. It's so tight and it's the same as last year.[LNB]"Whoever goes bottom of the league will not be isolated.[LNB]"But it's about your pride and you don't want to be there. We are looking at in a positive way.[LNB]"We have enough incentive and are hoping to have more desire than Hearts because we have the chance to go above them and then it would be their problem."[LNB]Jefferies is confident that captain Kevin Kyle will be back as brave as ever against the Tynecastle side despite having his head stitched after taking a knock in the 3-0 defeat by Rangers at Ibrox last week when he clashed with Light Blues keeper Allan McGregor.[LNB]"Kevin had stitches and he will get them out prior to the game," the Killie boss said. "It's the same for anyone who has stitches, they have a chance of opening up again but that won't deter him.[LNB]"He's as brave as they come, as we know, and that's why he got them in the first place.[LNB]"He will have had a few knocks in his life because he is so committed to getting on the end of things.[LNB]"So no way will it stop him, if we put the right service in to him then he will be challenging, that's for sure."[LNB][LNB] Kilmarnock 13/8, Hearts 13/8, Draw 12/5
