The former Hearts and Bradford boss has emerged as one of the front runners for the post vacated by George Burley on Monday following the 3-0 friendly defeat by Wales at Cardiff on Saturday.[LNB]Jefferies, 58, admitted earlier in the week he was "flattered" to be in the frame but revealed he has had a quiet time of it at training this week.[LNB]"The players are probably scared to say anything because they know what I'm like," joked the fiery Killie boss, speaking ahead of Saturday's Scottish Premier League clash with Rangers at Ibrox.[LNB]"Anybody who has been mentioned for the job will get a lot of banter but they haven't been saying much.[LNB]"I keep telling them what I tell you - it's all speculation.[LNB]"It's not something I lose any sleep over it.[LNB]"It's part and parcel of football and it will be the same for everyone linked with the job.[LNB]"I had it before the last time the Scotland job came up and had to deal with it then.[LNB]"The older you get, the better you deal with it.[LNB]"The speculation will be great for the media and there will be names popping out here, there and everywhere. The list will grow every day.[LNB]"I just get on with it and the most important thing for me is to try and go to Ibrox and try and get Kilmarnock a result."[LNB]Jefferies promised young Ibrox defender Danny Wilson an education when he comes up against Kevin Kyle - but claims veteran David Weir will also have his hands full against the bustling Killie striker.[LNB]Wilson, 17, has come to the fore in recent weeks in the absence of Madjid Bougherra and has been coached along by 39-year-old Weir.[LNB]However, the Rugby Park boss believes both Rangers central defenders will know they are in a game on Saturday.[LNB]"It would be an education for anyone who plays against Kyle," he said.[LNB]"He is a big, physical guy and I think Rangers respect him.[LNB]"But what we have tried not to do is just lump the ball up to him because he is very good at taking the ball into feet and laying it off.[LNB]"We want to get it wide and produce a quality ball because, if you put it in the box, he is a dangerous man.[LNB]"He is such a physical presence, he won't mess about but we have to provide the service."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
