Invincibile stays with Killie
20 Jan 2009 - 10:54:27
Australian forward Danny Invincibile has committed his future to the club by signing a new contract running until the end of summer 2011.
The 29-year-old's current deal was set to run out next summer, but Invincibile has now opted to stay put at Rugby Park.
He commented: "My deal was up at the end of the season and, after weighing up my options over the past few months, I decided I'm better where I am.
"I've been happy at Kilmarnock for six years and have a good relationship with the gaffer, so why leave?
"I also believe we have the strongest squad since I joined and that we have a real chance of finishing in the top four and going far in the Scottish Cup, if we get past Ayr.
"At the back of my head I do have plans to go back home at some stage, but who knows?"
