Ford back to boost Killie

Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies is hoping to welcome Simon Ford back to his first-team squad for this weekend's trip to Rangers.

The 26-year-old sat out the win at Dundee United with a thigh strain but is set to return for the trip to Ibrox.

Jefferies told the Daily Record: "Simon's back in training and it's great to have him available as he's been outstanding this season.

"He tends to play well in big games and, touch wood, that will continue at Rangers."

Ford has made more than 100 appearances for Killie since joining the club from Grimsby Town four years ago.
